Summary: | An abstract of a study by Bunting et al focusing on the use and implementation of a multidisciplinary career advancement program for health professionals is presented. An interdisciplinary approach to an advancement program for allied health professionals was developed to enhance clinical growth, promote interdisciplinary outcomes based projects and provide a framework for many professional groups to implement a ladder for their areas. At the same time the program was designed to reduce turnover and address two of the top reasons for leaving an organization: better compensation and recognition/acknowledgement. |
