Reading Styles Research: 'What Works' Isn't Always Phonics
Recent research on reading styles offers convincing evidence that the instructional approaches used in most schools are not the best methods for teaching all young children to read. Three kinds of reading styles are discussed and suggestions for what works in reading instruction are offered.
