On the possible ritual marking of a young XVIIIth dynasty pig skull from Tell el-Amarna, Middle Egypt

A young pig skull, excavated from an ancient Egyptian village near Tell el‐Amarna, Middle Egypt, presents a number of unusual features which are suggestive of ante‐mortem human intervention with subsequent localised infection of the bone. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
