Description
Summary:— Data characterizing forest restoration in Middle Taiga spruce forests after clear cutting are analyzed. Data on the biodiversity and carbon stocks in the phytomass and coarse woody debris were presented for a virgin spruce forest, the cutting area of a spruce forest, and a ripening birch forest that appeared after clear cutting of a spruce forest. The carbon stocks in the phytomass of the virgin spruce forest are 99.01 t/ha, in the cutting area of the spruce forest, they are 18.28 t/ha, and in the birch forest, 56.48 t/ha. The share in the total carbon stock of the stand, understory, undergrowth, ground cover plants, and coarse woody debris was calculated.
