Description
Summary:We present a case of posttraumatic cavernous carotid pseudo-aneurysm presenting with epistaxis, in which microsurgical treatment was the treatment of choice as endovascular treatment was perceived to be too risky because of a bone fragment impinging on the wall of the aneurysm. The patient was successfully managed by a high-flow, radial artery, external carotid artery-middle cerebral artery bypass and trapping of the internal carotid artery. The patient was discharged one week later without any further episode of hemorrhage.
