Apollo as a Model for Achilles in the Iliad
Achilles' victorious achievement in Book 24 of the "Iliad" is conveyed, at least in part, by Homer as the successful emulation of a precedent for the proper termination of wrath provided by the god Apollo in Book 1. An analysis of this theme is presented.
