Relationships between PPST and ACT Scores and Their Implications for the Basic Skills Testing of Prospective Teachers

Canonical correlation analysis and application of double cross validation procedures provide evidence of significant shared variance between the PPST and ACT. The authors question the need for students to take both the ACT and PPST and present suggestions for alternatives to such a requirement.
