Summary: | The growth in women-owned businesses on an international basis has followed the same pattern that has been occurring in the US. This is particularly exemplified in European countries that have different degrees of government influence and control of the market orientation of their economies. The role of women entrepreneurs in the transition economy of Hungary is explored first through a look at the background research on women entrepreneurs. In order for women and men entrepreneurs to be a more vibrant part of the Hungarian economy, of particular importance are more Western business courses, a favorable tax system, better credit conditions, free advising support, and a better banking system. |
