Summary:In Ecuador, great steps have been taken to enhance the capacity to attend to the needs and problems of population groups historically discriminated against for various reasons, such as disabilities, poverty, race, religion, sexual preferences, among other aspects that support their vulnerability, but recognizes that there is still a gap between the most disadvantaged groups and the rest of the population. This research is aimed at assessing the legal treatment related to the well-being of vulnerable sectors -children, the elderly and the indigenous population in Ecuador.
