Description
Summary:Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to respond to the distinguished lecture given by Dr. Gary L. Filerman. We also thank Dr. Filerman for his service to AUPHA and to the field of health management and administration, as well as for his wise words and inspiring lecture. Dr. Filerman calls us to “proactively engage the implications of climate change” in healthcare. Specifically, his charge to programs that train healthcare leaders is to “proactively and strategically redefine and invigorate professional ethos, and to train healthcare leaders to facilitate the needed change in the current tumultuous healthcare climate.” This call to action is both necessary and invigorating, and we are compelled to follow suit.
