Summary: | The current study focuses on providing a solution to the removal of organic dyes, namely methylene blue (MB) and rhodamine B (RhB) by polyethylene glycol (PEG) stabilized Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) from aqueous medium. The as-obtained sample has shown efficient photocatalytic degradation of both MB and RhB with 95% degradation in 45 min and 91% degradation in 120 min, respectively. The effectivity of the sample must be due to its appreciable size of 25 nm as calculated from X-ray Diffraction (XRD) studies and the Debye-Scherrer formula. |
