Description
Summary:A class of materials call miscibility gap alloys have been recently developed to combat the need for high temperature CSP storage. The state of the art of these materials is reviewed focusing on developments in manufacturing and applications. These materials can now be manufactured on a scale large enough to demonstrate their use a direct solar concentrator receivers, and the stored energy has been successfully utilised and converted into electricity. Systems have also been developed to directly target steam generation.
