Summary: | In this paper, preliminary level designing of a tilt rotor UAV and tilting mechanism, are presented. Tilt rotor aircraft is a VTOL which offers more speed and comfort for payload than other VTOLs. A conceptual configuration for tilt rotor based remote controlled (RC) plane has been developed. Three tilt rotor mechanisms have been devised, modeled in CATIA V5 and analyzed with the help of the multibody dynamics simulation software ADAMS and details of the feasible mechanism were found out. |
