The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the relative age on soccer players of the national base teams that participated in the Under-17 (U-17) and Under-20 (U-20) World Championships promoted by FIFA from 2011 to 2015. The sample were composed by 3,021 athletes of the categories Under-17 (U-17; n = 1,509) and Under-20 (Under-20; n = 1,512) of 144 teams (U-17; n = 72 and U-20; n = 72). The Chi-Square Test was performed taking as reference the equal distribution of the athletes by terms of 3 months each.
