Summary:Excitation of coherent vibrations of different-sized polystyrene nanospheres at their acoustic eigenmodes in aqueous suspensions is observed in the laser pulse field. To substantiate the observed features, a model of interaction of an electromagnetic field with a dielectric in heterogenous media is developed which allows eigenmodes of nanospheres in a suspension to be calculated. The estimations are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
