Summary:We introduce the notion of resolvable configurations; they generalize the resolvable block designs. We discuss some simple properties of this new class of incidence structures, on an abstract level. It turns out that they are interesting not only at this level, but in the case when they have some geometric realization as well. We demonstrate the latter case by giving several examples of resolvable geometric configurations; among them, infinite classes, too.
