[...]was his popularity with his clinical colleagues that after retiring he was persuaded to return to clinical medicine as a locum consultant at Caerphilly District Miners’ Hospital, where he remained until April 2006. Consultant physician (b 1936; q Vikram University, Ujjain, India, 1962; DCH, FRCP), died suddenly after bowel surgery on 15 September 2018
