Description
Summary:Malott rationalizes Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and B. F. Skinner's radical behaviorism. Among other things, Clinton and Skinner's rise to world-class prominence is amazing because it contradicts the social determinism that prevents extreme upper mobility. And Bush's descent to trailer-trash, chest-thumping, inarticulate bullying is amazing because it contradicts the social determinism that prevents extreme downward mobility. In other words, the social class determines the skills and values people acquire and those skills and values rarely allow them to move more than a level or two in either direction from the social class where they acquired them.
