Description
Summary:A study was conducted among 56 graduate management students to assess motivation to manage and the manifestation of that motivation in career planning. Subjects describing their present work as ''more managerial'' in nature and their planned work as ''more managerial'' in nature and who planned a greater degree of future change in the direction of managerial work were defined as ''manager-oriented'' in planning careers. Findings confirmed that strong motivations do become factors of career planning. This research contributes to the understanding of the dynamics of the career planning process.
