Description
Summary:An abstract of a study assessing the quality of stored drinking water in Cedar City UT is presented. Test results indicated that households had enough water stored to last 29 days (p=0.000) and that water stored in a garage is more likely to contain coliforms than water stored in other locations (p=0.036). Household water storage from Cedar City's water system is less likely to contain coliforms when compared to other water sources (p=O.O34). Household water storage is important in case of disaster but results of this study indicate that education is needed on proper household water storage methods to insure an adequate and safe supply of water in an emergency situation.
