Finlayson-Pitts, Pitts and Lloyd comment on an article by Andino and Butler concerning the stability of methanol and formaldehyde in the exhausts of methanol-fueled vehicles when the samples were diluted and stored in 60-l Tedlar bags for 6-25 hours. Butler, Andino and Japar reply.
