Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Bis(μ-hydroxo)diiron(II) Complex with Tridentate Ligands Having a Sterically Bulky Imidazolyl Group
The structure of the dinuclear Fe(II) complex [Fe2(OH)2(L)2](ClO4)2 (1) was determined by X-ray crystallography, where L is bis(1-methyl-2-phenyl-4-imidazolylmethyl)benzylamine. The compound crystallizes in a monoclinic space group, P1, with a = 11.007(2), b = 11.5591(12), c = 12.534(2)Å, α = 63.254...

Summary: | The structure of the dinuclear Fe(II) complex [Fe2(OH)2(L)2](ClO4)2 (1) was determined by X-ray crystallography, where L is bis(1-methyl-2-phenyl-4-imidazolylmethyl)benzylamine. The compound crystallizes in a monoclinic space group, P1, with a = 11.007(2), b = 11.5591(12), c = 12.534(2)Å, α = 63.254(12), β = 86.458(19), γ = 79.581(7)°, Z = 1, V = 1400.4(4)Å3. The R1 [I > 2σ(I)] and wR2 (all data) values are 0.00328 and 0.0862, respectively, for all 6735 independent reflections. The complex has a bis(μ-hydroxo)diiron core structure. |
