Summary: | A number of novel methodologies concerning the chemical, biological and medicinal applications of sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) gas have dramatically improved year by year. SO2F2 is a cheap, abundant and relatively inert electrophile, and also has been widely used as a fumigant for over five decades. Recently, it has gained significant attention as a reagent in organic synthesis. Herein, we summarize chemical transformations using the readily available feedstock SO2F2 gas. |
