Summary: | In this work, the effect of polyethylene glycol (PEG) on the structural, and optical properties of manganese tungstate nanorods are studied. The tungstate nanorods are prepared by simple chemical precipitation method with and without using PEG. The analysis of the results confirms that the structural, absorption and photoluminescence properties of the MnWO4 nanorods are modified considerably due to the presence of PEG in the synthesis process. The TGA/DTA analysis shows that the prepared nanorods are stable above 430 °C. The TEM analysis indicates that there is a considerable reduction in the size of the nanorods prepared in the presence of PEG. |
