Description
Summary:The possibilities of numerical modeling to determine the impact of discharge wells on the change in the stress-strain state and damage in the coal seam and the surrounding rock mass near the mine workings are shown. Numerical modeling is carried out on the base of the evolutionary approach being developed by the authors and using the finite difference method. The results indicating the unloading of the drilled regions of the coal seam were obtained. The fracture patterns of coal near wells are obtained and studied. Local and averaged characteristics of stress, inelastic strain and damage are analyzed.
