Description
Summary:Comparative research tests on additive manufacturing of samples from 12Cr18Ni9Ti steel and VT6 titanium alloy were carried out. Differences in the formed structure and dependence on the parameters of the additive manufacturing process of steel and titanium samples are established. In the titanium alloy samples, large grains stretched in the direction of heat dissipation, represented by the martensitic structure of the alpha phase, predominate in the manufacturing process. In the samples of steel 12Cr18Ni9Ti the structure is represented by dendritic structure with the predominant growth direction towards heat dissipation and sample growth. In tensile testing, specimens demonstrate mechanical properties at the cast material level. In austenitic steel samples, fracture occurs in a viscous dimple manner, in titanium samples there are both traces of viscous fracture and fracture along the grain boundaries.
