Description
Summary:In this work the issues of efficient isolated stand-alone PV systems that at the same time perform the functions of hardscape (fountains and small architectural forms) or sculptures items have been discussed. The solutions based on flat-type PV modules and CPV modules based toroidal concentrators for traditional sculptures, organic sculptures, as well as those in urban style have been presented. One other objective of research was to get this approach noticed and to show that solar installations can be blend naturally with historical parks and palace complexes (on the example of Peterhof), museums without disturbing their esthetics built over a period of centuries. The purpose of this work is to prove the possibility, effectiveness and expedience of solar installations having forms designed to match different environments without breaking the harmony of the surrounding nature and landscape. One other objective of research was to get this approach noticed and to show that solar PV systems can be blend naturally into historical series of parks and gardens, museums without disturbing their esthetics built over a period of centuries
