Summary: | By comparing radiosonde temperature data from 1979-2006 with satellite-derived bulk atmospheric temperature data from both the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Remote Sensing Systems (RSS) on a station-by-station basis, we found that in the troposphere the changes in the 28 Austra- lian radiosondes introduced significant, spurious warming shifts in the 1980s when new instrumentation was deployed. |
