Summary: | Droplet as the most elementary substance that comprises spray is very important to investigate in engineering and industrial. The applications examples are in spray cooling and spray coating or painting. Droplet characteristics when pinning onto a surface could be hydrophobic, neutral or hydrophilic. In the present work were modeled and simulated the droplet when attached to the surface using multiphase LBM. The pseudo-potential method was used to treat two-phase substance, and the Carnahan-Starling equation of state (EOS) was used to treat both coexistence substance. The validation was used the spurious current that very important in numerical stability. The results were presented in three conditions: hydrophobic, neutral and hydrophilic. |
