Summary: | In this paper, we present new evidence based on administrative payroll records obtained from a sample of Burger King (BK), Wendy's, Roy Rogers (RR), and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurants in New Jersey and Pennsylvannia drawn from the same geographic areas and same chains from which Card and Krueger's (1994) sample of restaurants was drawn, and hence most likely overlapping substantially with the restaurants in their sample. We compare results using these data to those using CK's data, which were collected by telephone surveys. We have two findings to report. |
