Summary: | All the construction you see here, everything that's progressing in this community is the result of all the young people having gone to the U.S. The families that stay behind want to use their money to build houses for the ones who can or want to return. [...]if we want to build a bridge or somebody has a squatter on his land, we address these matters in a friendly way, to avoid fighting. If someone doesn't have his land papers in order, we go to the agriculture department and the national registry to resolve all those problems so that everything can function smoothly and people can work honestly. The funds are raised from among the community members. -translated by Ana Martinez UNA ENTREVISTA CON UNA FAMILIA EN CUAJILOTE: |
