Description
Summary:ZnO nanoparticles have been produced by a rapid and facile electrochemical method. The crystalline structure and surface morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction analysis, and Raman spectroscopy. Results show that, by using this approach, high-quality hexagonal wurtzite ZnO nanoparticles with faceted shape, smooth side surface, low agglomeration, particle size ranging from 40 nm to 80 nm, and high crystallinity can be obtained . The direct formation mechanism of the ZnO nanoparticles is also discussed.
