Summary:Woman’s images into phraseology has various aspects and is differentiated. Man and woman’s gender bipolarity determines the linguistic and cultural images of a man, a woman and their interactions in various stages of their lives. The study is methodologically based on aspects acceptance, that are reflected into the significance of phrasal expressions. In Slovak phraseology, the topic of young people love relationships is the most represented. The age inequality is perceived negatively. Marriage was perceived seriously. It was considered to be a decision that would suppose happiness or unhappiness. In the phraseology there is the image of ideal woman and man. The beauty is important, but hard work and loyalty show the highest values. The role of a woman and a man in the family and society has traditionally been determined. The status of woman was influenced by Roman law. The study deals with a short comparison of Slovak and Spanish phrasal expressions to the topic of women and their characteristics.
