Elliptical monopole based super wideband fractal antenna
An elliptical monopole based third iterative fractal antenna for super wideband applications is investigated in this article. It consists of microstrip line fed three iterations of elliptical monopole in tree shaped manner and modified semielliptical ground plane. It has an impedance bandwidth of 0....

description | An elliptical monopole based third iterative fractal antenna for super wideband applications is investigated in this article. It consists of microstrip line fed three iterations of elliptical monopole in tree shaped manner and modified semielliptical ground plane. It has an impedance bandwidth of 0.65 to 35.61 GHz, that is, ratio bandwidth of 54.78:1. The overall footprint of the antenna is 170 × 150 mm2. A peak realized gain of 6.51 dB with an average gain of 3.24 dB is achieved. The investigated antenna has advantages of miniaturized dimensions, simple geometry, and wider bandwidth over previously reported structures. |
