Summary: | This study presents a model estimation of the biomass of the photic layer phytoplankton in the central part of Lake Issyk-Kul. The method is based on remote sensing data for a numerical solution of the mathematical model of phytoplankton functioning in a fixed water column. The model parameters were verified using full-scale samples collected in the pelagic zone of the lake (the Tamga-Grigorievka section) in August 1999. |
