Generation of hydrogen under laser irradiation of organic liquids
The process of hydrogen generation under the action of pulsed radiation from an Nd : YAG laser with a peak intensity of ∼1010 W cm−2 in the liquid on the chemically pure ethanol, isopropanol, isobutanol, and diethyl ether is studied. The rate of molecular hydrogen generation, characteristic for each...

Summary: | The process of hydrogen generation under the action of pulsed radiation from an Nd : YAG laser with a peak intensity of ∼1010 W cm−2 in the liquid on the chemically pure ethanol, isopropanol, isobutanol, and diethyl ether is studied. The rate of molecular hydrogen generation, characteristic for each sample of organic substance, is experimentally determined. The obtained results are interpreted basing on the analysis of the molecular structure of the studied samples of organic liquids. |
