Summary: | An exploratory survey of 117 entrepreneurs in Southwestern Pennsylvania was conducted in order to determine what factors they believed to be restraints on entrepreneurial success and whether or not they believed these factors existed in their geographic area. Differences between male and female entrepreneurs and self defined more and less successful entrepreneurs were compared. All the businesses have supportive relationships with the Massey Center for Business Innovation and Development at Robert Morris University. The findings have implications for economic and political entities which wish to encourage entrepreneurship and economic growth. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
