Summary: | Quartz sand produced by the Ramenskii mining and processing plant has been used as a raw material for the melting of quartz glass at OJSC DINUR. The performance of reactors (plasma torches) and the quality of the ingots obtained depends significantly on the quality of sand (content of impurity components, such as aluminum and iron oxides). It is established that the product of melting quartz sand from feedstock with a high content of impurities is characterized by reduced resistance to crystallization. |
