Summary:This paper presents data on styrene polymerization in emulsions stabilized by biodegradable poorly water-soluble polyester polyol of 2,2-bis(methylol)propionic acid (polyester Boltorn H40). The effect of synthesis conditions on the kinetic laws of polymerization is studied. The results are analyzed in comparison with those previously obtained under similar conditions but in the presence of water-soluble surfactants.
