Description
Summary:The hydrothermal microwave method for the synthesis of diopside is developed. The changes in the physicochemical properties under the influence of radiation, which simulate the space conditions and the UV radiation of the Sun on the optical properties of the diopside are investigated. The microwave method enables to manufacture the crystalline CaO·MgO·2SiO 2 -diopside at lower temperatures (850°C) as compared to traditional methods. The synthesized diopside has a high diffusion reflection, it is radiation-resistant and can be used as a pigment for thermoregulating coatings.
