Description
Summary:An automatic stirring system based on temperature control has been successfully installed in a composter barrel. Composter with a 30 litres plastic barrel model was used to process organic waste into organic liquid fertilizer. The system worked by measuring temperature and controlling temperature. Function of temperature control to perform automatic stirring commands. To do this, the Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller is used as a system controller and SHT 11 sensor to detect the temperature and humidity of the composter chamber. Testing is done by measuring temperature continuously with DAQ based data acquisition methods. Stirring will work when the temperature matches the composter processing range. From the test results it was found that the temperature and the automatic stirring system worked well. From the test results it was found that the temperature and automatic stirring system had worked well and were successfully controlled when the temperature reached 50 °C so that stirring worked automatically. The ability to maintain temperature in the composter chamber is very important because it maintains the air cycle in the composter chamber. Thus, the composter with an automatic stirring system based on the temperature control produced in this study has offered a practical method for processing organic liquid fertilizer.
