Description
Summary:— The method for calculating irradiance from a black body (BB) in an arbitrary plane parallel to its diaphragm is considered. This method is based on the concept of transmittance of the infrared focal-plane array cold diaphragm that describes the ratio of the radiation flux incident on a given point of the plane through the diaphragm to the radiation flux incident on this point from the hemisphere. The results of irradiance calculation using the proposed method and the only standard method described in GOST 17772–88 converge completely. The results of irradiance calculation and the normalized difference between irradiances from the BB with circular and square diaphragms at 0.06 mm to 20 cm as well as irradiance area distribution are considered. Irradiance from the BB with a circular diaphragm differs from the irradiance from the BB with a square diaphragm of the same area, but not more than by one percent. We established that the proposed method is completely applicable for calculating irradiance from the BB.
