Description
Summary:—The two-dimensional diffraction problem of a plane polarized TM -wave on two identical solid silver nanocylinders is considered. The article discusses the effect of the cylinder diameters, the distance between the cylinders, loss of silver, and the plane of the angle of incidence of the plane wave on the resonances of the scattering cross section of such a structure. It is shown that the number of maxima of the scattering cross section, their mutual arrangement, and plasmon degeneracy depend both on the distance between the cylinders and the size of their radii. It is noted that real silver losses results in a significant decrease in the amplitudes of multipole resonances and their merging into a common maximum.
