Description
Summary:It is shown that the implementation of effective anticorrosive protection of a steel structure and the choice of its optimal parameters depend on the quantitative characteristics of the corrosion rate. This value substantially depends on the soil moisture, with the maximum value being observed in spring after snowmelt. During this period, corrosion processes are sharply activated, which can significantly change the average annual corrosion rate, which at other times may remain small. The higher the voltage in the metal and the more often and with greater amplitude it changes, the higher the corruption rate. The point failure of a steel structure can be distinguished from hydrogen embrittlement by means of a fractographic study of cracked surfaces. Cracks formed as a result of hydrogen embrittlement have no signs of corrosion, unlike cracks formed as a result of stress in a metal and corrosion.
