Summary:Acoustic, optical, and acousto-optic properties of amorphous germanium-, selenium-, silicon-, and tellurium-based alloys have been studied. The velocities of longitudinal acoustic waves and acousto-optic figure of merit were measured for amorphous tellurium-based alloys at wavelength λ = 3.39 μm. Acousto-optic figure of merit of a germanium single crystal was studied under diffraction on longitudinal acoustic modes along the [110] and [111] crystal directions.
