Summary: | The aim of this paper is to examine the existence of productivity spillovers across firms in the Italian manufacturing food industry. To this end, using a sample of Italian food firms over the period 2008-2015, first the total factor productivity (TFP) is computed by considering the Levinson-Petrin approach and then a spatial econometric model is employed. Results show evidence of productivity spillovers across firms due to spatial proximity. |
