description According to the survey results, the experts of research group analyzed and summarized the causes of increasingly serious occurrence of sugarcane pests in Xianggui sugarcane area, and put forward the countermeasures for the prevention and control of sugarcane pests in this area. According to the measured results, the sugarcane stem yield loss and sucrose content loss caused by pests were statistically analyzed. Sugarcane stem yield loss (% ) = 2018, the average yield per unit area of 71.1t /hm2, the average sucrose content of 13.28% and the average sucrose yield of 11.54% , the average loss rate of sugarcane stem yield was 14.87%; the average loss rate of sugarcane stem yield in Laibin Xiaopingyang sugarcane area was the highest of 18.90% , followed by Pubei sugarcane area (17.96%), Laibin sugarcane area (17.01%), Hepu sugarcane area (15.54% ), Chongzuo Leiping sugarcane (Single stem weight of borer - Free sugarcane x effective stem number of borer - Free sugarcane - Single stem weight of borer -Damaged sugarcane x Effective stem number of borer - Damaged sugarcane) # (Single stem weight of borer - Free sugarcane x Effective stem number of borer - Free sugarcane) x 100% (1) Sucrose loss of sugarcane (%, absolute value) = Average sucrose of borer - Free sugarcane - Average sucrose of borer - Damaged sugarcane (2) 2Results and Analysis 2.1Damage status of sugarcane pests in Xianggui sugarcane area The survey results (Table 1) showed that the damage of sugarcane borers in sugarcane areas of Xianggui group was relatively severe; the average rate of borer-damaged strain was 46.54%, and that in seriously affected plots was as high as 100% . According to the recovery rate of 85%, the sucrose loss caused by sucrose loss was 61 100 t (76 800 t/hm2X (71.1 t/hm2+12.42 t/hm2) x85% x1.12%), and the sucrose loss caused by pests was 171 100 t (110 000 t+61 100 t).
