Description
Summary:In this paper, A novel design of surface plasmon resonance based bio-sensor using photonic crystal fiber with good sensitivity is proposed. This sensor can efficiently detect small variations in the bio-related analyte’s indices ranging from 1.36 to 1.4 with remarkable sensitivity in the range of 12,000 nm/RIU and 16,000 nm/RIU. Usually, the refractive index of diverse types of cancer cell at a various region of body (breast, cervical and basal) cells is in the range of 1.36–1.4. Thus, it can be employed in various biosensing applications including the detection of cancerous cells with high accuracy.
