Characterization of eight polymorphic microsatellite markers for the saw-combed fishfly, Nigronia serricornis (Say) (Megaloptera: Corydalidae)
We have developed eight polymorphic microsatellite markers for Nigronia serricornis ; the first STRs developed for the order Megaloptera. These markers were developed utilizing Illumina next-generation sequencing. Of 8,629 contigs sequenced, 38 were tested for amplification and to determine allelic...

Summary: | We have developed eight polymorphic microsatellite markers for
Nigronia serricornis
; the first STRs developed for the order Megaloptera. These markers were developed utilizing Illumina next-generation sequencing. Of 8,629 contigs sequenced, 38 were tested for amplification and to determine allelic richness. Of those tested, eight loci were found to be polymorphic. Markers were also tested on other members of the order Megaloptera, with various degrees of successful amplification. |
