Effect of Swelling of N-Vinylpyrrolidone-Based Polymers on Sorption of Nitrophenols
Swelling of synthesized N -vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer sorbents in aqueous solutions with different pH has been studied. N
-vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer sorbents in aqueous solutions with different pH has been studied. The initial rate and degree of swelling, their dependence on the ratio of functional monomer and cross-linking agents in the polymer samples synthesized in various solvents have been found. It has been shown that the sorption of nitrophenols depends on the swelling of the polymers and increases with increasing amount of a cross-linking agent, but is not directly related to the specific surface of the sorbent. |
